Many visitors to the Highlands don't really appreciate how convenient
Fort William is as a centre for touring the West Highlands. Many places
are only a 2-3 hours drive away, rather than a day. The concept of staying
in a different place each night of your vacation is ill-founded. Who
want's to unpack then repack each day?
Woodside's alternative is to base yourself here for a few days and relax
- take it easy - you're on holiday aren't you?
During May - August a fabulous day trip to the Isle of Skye is possible,
as is a trip to Oban, Inverness, Loch Ness and the Spey Valley. It doesn't
matter what time you return each evening.
